Goodbye Michael Jackson (Bittersweet Legacy)

words and music by Dr BLT  © 2009

goodbye to the passion

goodbye to the pain

goodbye to the bittersweet

legacy you gained

goodbye to your moonwalk

goodbye to Billy Jean

to children healed or hurt

to places you have been

goodbye Michael Jackson

Goodbye to Ed Sullivan

the Jackson 5 debut

goodbye to State of Shock

with Mick Jagger in the groove

to MTV videos

that jumped outside the screen

to trouble that surrounded you

and led to songs like Scream

Goodbye Michael Jackson

First of all, Michael Jackson wasn't happy with who he was, and spent millions of dollars trying to change who he was. He had his childhood stolen from him and he appeared to be attempting to relive it in some strange way.
He was under incredible stress mentally because of his trial, his debt, and his soiled reputation. If he wasn't guilt of child molestation, he was suffering the stress of being falsely accused. If he was guilt, he was dealing with the guilt inside him.
He must have had a health problem, or why would he have had a cardiologist with him at all times? If he indeed had a heart problem, he was stressing it to the limit by the rehearsals for the intense show that he was planning to do 50 PERFORMANCES of in London.
Finally, he obviously had mental issues, as demonstrated by his addiction to plastic surgery. He probably had body dismorphic disorder or something similar. Sadly, there were doctors that would indulge that illness for enough money. Repeated unnecessary surgery could have exposed him to many toxins that can invade between the layers of the skin, which may have created further medical problems.
My feeling is that I wasn't shocked by his death, although of course it's sad. I'm actually surprised that he lasted as long as he did.

Michael Jackson, with his death, left a legacy. He left shoes to fill for those who are musically inclined. In addition, Michael has left some of the most aspiring choreography in the world. He has put United States on the map, in the 80's, with music numbers as "Thriller" and "Beat it." Michael Jackson has died, but his memory is still here and will continue to be prevalent. Good bye Michael Jackson!

I knew you were a poet. I love it. It is much nicer than my MJ poem. Like I said in class, I think he was a very cool little dude that turned into a very bizzarre man that may or may not have done some very bad things and who also probably had some very bad things done to him...with a glittery white gloveps: you better not get mad at me about me about my MJ lyrics that haven't been posted yet, you are my main collaborator on the script...actually my only collaborater at this point. 12:12

The age-old battle between Good and evil still rages on.... the Id, Ego, and Superego, all vying to be one....
I have been saddened for many years for what appeared to be the sad condition of the heart of someone that was number one, yet seemingly so alone. How sad to have lived 50 years with seemingly little true happiness. To have to wonder and question others motivations and actions from childhood through adulthood must have been a burden few could carry well. Yet I am also reminded of the words of my Dear Mother.... those who lift you up will be the first to tear you down. What is it in human nature that causes people to choose to concentrate on the negative rather then expound on the positive? I don't justify wrong! But I do feel that sensationalism is alive and well in this country to the detriment of many.
Michael, may God judge you rightly, may your wrongs be righted and your goodness be expounded upon…

Michael Jackson seemed like a lonely soul. I felt sorry for him as he never had much of a childhood and was pushed into show business by his father. I think he was constantly in search of finding his childhood again and this is what made him misunderstood. It is hard for me to believe that he actually abused those child that he was acused of hurting. he was a public figure with lots of money and easy to take advantage of. He showed signs of abuse with his low sel-esteem and his constantly every changing appearance.

I could not believe the news reports that Michael Jackson had passed away. I was extremely saddened and torn up inside. I know that Michael Jackson had the legal issues and negative attention in the media however he was acquitted of those charges. I could not understand how he continually being persecuted for the allegations. He was a human being just like the rest of us. Even if he were guilty of the charges against him, he is not different from the average person because we all are sinners and make mistakes. No one sin is greater than the next. The same people pointing fingers at him for the allegations brought against him also have committed wrong doings in life. I understand that child molestation if considered to be the evil of all evils in our society however our justice system did not find the man guilty. Prior to negative media attention Michael Jackson was an achieved humanitarian. He stood for more than music and dancing. He was a global icon and used his status for good works across the world as opposed to most other celebrity icons. We should not ignore the fact that the allegations were made against him however let's also not forget his good works and deeds across the world. Let's look at the whole picture of this man's life. Michael Jackson is the only music artist that I've ever been a fanatic for. I remember staying up well past midnight as a child just to catch a glimpse of his videos. At that time MTV did not play African Amercian music on their station. I guess we always knew Michael Jackson was sick because he hasnt physically looked healthy in a while. The man pushed himself beyond his own beliefs in order to do not only what he loved but also to please the world. We all required alot from him as a performer and we could not get enough of seeing him.
I will miss him and I know there will never be another music artist to achieve this level of success. I can't think of any other person in the world that can connect to so many people from different area of the world. No matter what our personal feelings about him are, he still deserves to die with dignity and his family allowed the chance to mourn in peace.

Michael, I love you and may your soul finally rest in peace.

The movie Deliverance deals with several different types of personalities. Each one of the men on the boating trip had a different personality and a couple of their personalities clashed with the other. I think some people are able to handle stress and trauma well while others break down under pressure. Alot of this has to do with our individual tolerance for stress and our personality type. People that are used to handling stress on a daily basis are more apt to handle stress better than a person that is not familiar with resolving stressful situations.

While enduring tramatic situations the average person tends to go into survival mode as did most of the characters in the movie. Once the main character became injured, the other men had to step up and take on the role they relied on him to perform.

I think we all have this tendency inside of us it's just a matter of how far we have to be pushed before we change gears.

here are some new lyrics I wrote for a possible Hick-Hop collab w/ Dr. B.L.T. in the near or not so near future. It is called MoonWalk to Heaven and may not be suitable for overly sensitive audiences or those who do not believe levity should be introduced into tragedy. Through out my life I have found humour to be quite theroputic when I was feeling down. even if I could make myself laugh by being my own clown it would make a difference. try it sometime, it just might work for you too. the next time you are feeling really sad about something go to the nearest mirror and proceed to make silly faces accompanied by strange noise, all of which are completely uncharicteristic of you (Im assuming). you might not want anyone else to be around when you do this though, because they will think you are a freak. go ahead, set loose that inner clown and have a laugh on you.

    MoonWalk to Heaven

black or white,he was outta sight
reclusive and elusive like a star in the light
he got down w/ the five, he rocked the mic
rulin the stage when he was just a tyke
but his wasted youth was his claim to fame
cuz everybody wants you when you got a name
so he paid to play and played for pay
but lots of older brothers may make you gay
its in the book,it dint come from me
its on page one five-O in chapter three
now back to Jackson and the tragedy
but is it really bad dads outta the scene
his baby blankets been worn and torn
they dethroned the prince who was the first born
now Paris weeps as her daddy's mourned
neverland is lost and so ends the tour

maybe he did, maybe he didnt
if he did he's dead and I aint kiddin
I wonder where he keeps all the Beatle's songs hidden
only McKully knows where they're written
down in the ground, dead and buried
with Peter Pan and his little ferry
remember when Neverland began to get scary
when the rock kings daughter and the pop king married

    A,B,C,1,2,3
couldnt they see what a freak you'd be
with no nurturing from the nursery
why dint Tito teach you to read
between the lines, they bought you for greed
but did no one care that you were suffering
was Jermaine aware of your coma sleep
shoulda woke you up, but you went to deep
now your gone but the band plays on
not the Jackson Five or Shaka-kan
its the B.L.T. and the wraith of Con
he did Billy Jean now were gonna rock this one
like thriller was killer, it made a mint
my sh*t is iller cuz it never made a cent
one day a degree might pay my rent
while I'm worryin about all the loans I spent

the king is gone, but pop lives on
I'm sorry for your loss Mrs. Jackson
no disrespect meant with this song
for your baby boy and loving son
